Do you qualify for help in paying for child care?
The State of Vermont has a Child Care Subsidy Program that can help you if you meet one or more of the following guidelines:
- For parents who are working or in school (Reach-Up, high school, college undergraduate) and fall within the following income guidelines :

| Family of 3 or fewer: | $1157 and $2586 gross monthly income |
| Family of 4 | $1392 and $3115 gross monthly income |
| Family of 5 | $1627 and $3645 gross monthly income |
| Family of 6 or more | $1862 and $4176 gross monthly income |
If your income falls within the above range you may be eligible for assistance. Subsidy is calculated by percentage dependent on your gross monthly income.
- For families where the level of stress is creating an at-risk situation, up to 3 full or 5 half-days per week of child care to provide family support.
- For families who are self-employed in an approved business activity netting a monthly income of at least $100/month, or for families who have started a business within the last year
- For families seeking employment, 30 half or 15 full-days per year of child care are available.
- For families experiencing incapacity from either a physical or emotional disability and can provide documentation thereof from a treating physician.
- For families whose children have been substantiated as being abused or neglected and placed under the care of protective services. Child care is authorized by the protective services social worker.
