Ann McCloskey
Ann McCloskey is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of Vermont. She earned her M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School in 1984. Since then she has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in various settings, particularly in schools. Ann has been teaching both graduate and undergraduate psychology students, as well as early childhood educators, for many years.
Ylan Roy
Ylan Roy has been interested in early childhood education since her son was born 15 years ago. Since then, she has worked with all ages of children as an in-home caregiver to infants, a preschool teacher, and a site director for after school care. Ylan is currently a lead teacher at the Birge Nest Infant Toddler Center. Her current interests in the field include creating engaging environments, and building child-driven curriculum for infants and toddlers.
Jo Schneiderman
Jo Schneiderman, M.Ed., has held every possible job in a child care center except bus driver. In her 30-year teaching career she has worked with culturally and economically diverse groups of children. Jo was the Education Manager for EES, Head Start for two years. She currently directs a program for HIV+ women and their families. She has been a child care consultant and trainer since 1987.
Charlotte Stetson
Charlotte Stetson has taught children ranging in age from 18 months to 8 years in child care centers, Head Start programs, a college-based early childhood center, and public school. She is the co-author of "Winning Ways To Learn," a two volume guide for parents of young children, and the principal author of Early Childhood curriculum materials published by Mother Goose Programs and Teaching Strategies, Inc.. Currently, she is co-directing the production of a DVD about The Creative Curriculum.
Muriel Taylor
Muriel Taylor brings many years experience in early education as a teacher, center director, and NAEYC accreditation validator. She also taught Early Childhood Studies at Housatonic Community College in Connecticut. She brings a love of the arts and creative spirit to all her classes.
Cindy Twombly
Cindy Twombly RN, BSN is the Healthy Child Care Vermont Consultant in the Brattleboro office of the Vermont Dept. of Health. She has over 25 years experience in nursing primarily in the fields of public health and school health education.
