Welcome to Windham Child Care Association. We are a not-for-profit child care resource and referral agency serving families, employers and child care providers in Windham County, Vermont, since 1981.

Our purpose is to ensure that high quality child care is available to every child in Windham County who needs it.

OUR MISSION

To improve the lives of children and families in Windham County, VT, by assuring access to high quality, economically viable child care.

The quality of nurturing during children's first five years of life is critical to their development and readiness for school. Increasingly, these experiences take place under the care of an early childhood professional rather than a parent. In recent years, between 70 and 80% of Vermont women with children under six were in the workforce. They depend on child care centers and family home providers to nurture and educate their children--often for up to nine hours a day, five days a week.

Windham Child Care Association is a member of the Vermont and National Associations of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (VACCRRA and NACCRRA).
