| Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals |

| This 12-session course is required for all new center staff who have not taken a Child Development college course, and is highly recommended for all new family child care providers, as well as educators working on their Child Development Associate (CDA) requirements. Fundamentals is also a requirement for completion of Level I on the Northern Lights Career Ladder. The sessions cover topics in child development, health, nutrition, safety, basic specialized care, communication with families and co-workers, and professionalism. There will be double sessions on 4 Saturdays, plus 8 sessions on Tuesday evenings. Attendance at all sessions is required for new center staff. Others may register for individual classes. See descriptions below for individual sessions, starting on September 29th. Saturday classes are in Westminster and Tuesday evening classes are in Brattleboro.
