This early literacy training provided by the Vermont Humanities Council is open to providers who have completed a two-part Never Too Early series. It offers an opportunity to deepen knowledge of early literacy gained from previious trainings as well as from experience. The training will focus on socio-emotional development: providers will learn how to use children's literature to nurture empathy, compassion, cooperative play, and effective communicatio - emotional literacy - as they nurture early literacy. Participants will receive a "Peaceable Stories" resource manual and children's books. Limited to 15; this training is available only to first time registrants.
