In this workshop, staff of the Brattleboro Area Prevention Coalition will explore the meaning of "prevention", as it relates to working with families in early childhood settings. We'll examine our opinions about substance abuse, as well as the messages we receive from family, school, media, and other role models. These exercises will be applied to the role we can play in the health and safety of the children in our care. We will also review drug-free workplace policies and resources for your child care organization. You will receive a CD of prevention lessons for preschoolers and their parents, as well as other free prevention resources and referral information for use with families.
