Want to learn how to start a vegetable or flower garden with your children? This class will teach you the basics of gardening and help you get started with supplies and materials that you'll need. You'll end the class with a plan for your garden and new skills to help you plant and care for seeds and seedlings. Gardening enriches your curriculum and offers children the opportunity to experience nature, the growing cycle of food and develop and appreciation of a variety of fresh vegetables. Learn from a master gardener/public health nurse and an experienced gardener/child care provider. Mini-grants may be available to help participants get started with their gardens.
