| Natural disasters- record flooding and tornadoes, and unnatural disasters - acts of terrorism and nuclear crises were in the news this year. Emergency preparedness is part of our job. All programs need an emergency plan to be prepared for the disasters that we hope will never strike. Parents need to know about these plans and what to do in a disaster. We'll provide
tips on developing an emergency plan, communicating with families, and preparing a disaster kit for your program. We'll also swap expiring Potassium Iodide (KI) at this session – bring yours to exchange.
