This training is the first in a series of modules from the Center for Social Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL) that provides research-based practices for addressing challenging behavior. Module 1 offers strategies to prevent challenging behavior. Topics that will be addressed include building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues; designing environments, schedules and routines; establishing rules; implementing activities that promote child engagement; modifying and adapting materials and activities to meet the individual needs of all children, including those with disabilities; and providing encouragement and positive feedback to children.  CDA Subject Area: 3  Presented by Cathy Siggins and Tori Grahame
