| Creating Environmentally Safe Homes for Children |

| Lead and other environmental issues pose serious health risks for children. Join a
representative from Vermont’s Lead Safe Homes to learn ways to support the health and
well being of children by addressing environmental and safety issues within the home. Lead
Safe Homes offers free in-home assessments that include testing for lead dust and radon,
allergy and asthma triggers, and a check of safety devices. The program provides resources to
address hazards including child-proofing supplies, HEPA vacuums, and allergy deterrents.
Resources are available to both families and to home child care providers.
